Therapy Services

I offer a holistic approach to mental wellness for children, teens, and adults. I provide personalized care in a supportive environment, helping clients of all ages navigate their unique journeys. My therapy services are available in-person at my office in Greenwood Village, CO, as well as virtually for patients in Colorado and California.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a therapy model that views people as multidimensional. We all have different parts that develop from our life experiences and often create defense mechanisms to protect us. For example, you might have an inner critic, a perfectionist, or an inner child that carries old wounds.

IFS encourages understanding and communication with these parts, helping to resolve internal conflicts and relieve them from stuck roles. The goal is to cultivate a stronger sense of Self that can approach these parts with qualities like confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. When you can meet yourself with these qualities, it fosters positively, promoting healing and emotional well-being.

  • I am a Certified Somatic Attachment Therapist. Somatic Attachment Therapy is a therapeutic approach that combines attachment theory with somatic (body-based) practices. It examines how our early relationships and experiences shape our emotional and physical responses, especially in how we connect with others. The goal is to help you support your nervous system and understand the messages your body sensations convey, enabling you to feel safer in your relationships with yourself and others.

  • I am a certified EMDR Therapist. EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a therapy designed to help people process and heal from traumatic experiences. It focuses on distressing memories or feelings related to trauma and involves a therapist guiding you through specific eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, such as tapping or sounds. This process helps your brain reprocess the memories more effectively, allowing you to revisit them with reduced distress and gain new insights. Ultimately, EMDR aims to make traumatic experiences less overwhelming and more manageable, facilitating healing and emotional relief.

  • Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) is an innovative approach that combines the use of ketamine, a dissociative anesthetic, with psychotherapy to address mental health conditions, particularly treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, and PTSD.

  • I am a certified Sand-Play Therapist. Sand play therapy is a non-verbal approach that uses a sandbox and miniature figures to help individuals express their thoughts and feelings in a safe environment. Clients create scenes in the sand, allowing for creative exploration of emotions that may be hard to articulate. The sand and figures symbolize their inner world, helping them visualize thoughts and uncover underlying issues or traumas. As clients build their sand worlds, the therapist facilitates discussion, promoting self-discovery and healing. This method offers a non-threatening way, especially for children, to communicate their experiences and fosters a sense of safety and control for deeper exploration.

  • My therapy companion, Jelly Bean is a certified therapy dog. Animal-assisted therapy (AAT) is a therapeutic approach that uses animals to improve a person's emotional, physical, or social well-being. Interacting with animals can reduce anxiety, improve mood, and create a calming environment that facilitates engagement in therapy. The unconditional support and companionship from animals help clients build trust and enhance emotional resilience, encouraging open communication. Additionally, AAT motivates clients to participate in therapeutic activities and helps develop important skills like empathy and responsibility, ultimately enriching traditional therapeutic approaches.

  • I provide trauma therapy for all ages utilizing different modalities depending on life stage needs and appropriate developmental focus.

  • I provide supervision for pre-licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (MFTC) and Licensed Professional Counselor Candidates (LPCC).
